Eric Cohler was inspired by
the industrial revolution
of the 19th century.
Natural and manufactured
materials are fused in a series
of spectacular designs, that
combine classical and
contemporary elements and
bear the hallmark of clean,
crisp contemporary design.
Combining Azul Valverde
stone with patinated and polished
steel elements, the design of the
Glasgow surround bears a strong
similarity to the work of the visionary
architect Sir John Soane.
